Use the same inventory
Give each mover the same list of belongings, addresses and access details. A quote based on a short phone description may change when the full job is known. Ask how the mover confirms the scope.
Read every charge
Look for the crew size, truck, time or distance basis, minimum charge, supplies and tax. Ask about stairs, long carries, waiting, extra stops and storage. Put agreed changes in writing before the move.
Understand the agreement
Check cancellation terms, deposits, delivery windows and the process for loss or damage. Ask what coverage means for your belongings and what is excluded. Keep the signed quote, inventory and contact details together.
